Cold camping, mexican breakfast in cute little West Cliffe, soaring through the valley between the Sangre de Cristos and the Wet Mountains, boulder mountains down into Cotopaxi and the Arkanas River. Hang out at the cotopaxi cafe which has everything from PVC, to hose clamps, to hot coffee, a working payphone and absolutely no cell service. Mail off some extra gear. No longer need our sheets since its september and we expect cool nights from here to Oregon. We have a vast desert to cross. Utah and Nevada. Lands of no water, few trees and little forgiveness.
